My Candle challenge

I want to try and achieve this design by carving into a candle.I had two weeks of college of because of half term so i couldn't use the material, clay like i wanted to on my brief so to help me get used to the human form and nature i thought i could experiment using different mediums like wax. 

On the left you can see the beginning of the possess. this was quite difficult to do because i had never done this it took me three hours of calving with a knife and a cocktail stick to achieve the out come on the right. After creating this i decided that i wanted to focus more on the human structure not the anatomy

 here is another candle i calved. instead of showing what was inside the human anatomy i wanted to revile the skeleton. This was a small canddle so calving a real spine was quite tricky as the wax would just crumble away because the tools i was using were to big and the detail was too small so to prevent any more breakage i decided just to indent dots to create a spine.
