ABSTRACTION

this is my Tate poster, i drew on my finger with a biro and printed it on to paper. i then scanned in my print and edited it in photoshop. i think this turned out well because it my own finger print and no other person can copy this simple because no else  has the same finger print as me where all unique. if i choose this as my finale poster i will then add the address to the poster.

This is another finger print poster, i thought i'd do a full perspective of the finger print in the poster. from look at the research of the tate posters i liked the plain and simple ones so you know what your reading and what your looking at so that its not to much to look at to the eye.

I painted my dogs paws in inspiration to yves klein. i quite like this because thers enough to look at but not to much. i think this will be my final poster wich i'll enlarge

Press moulding, Ceramics

This is my press mould using the press moulding technique. I created a surface by inlaying, calving overlaying and pressing into the clay creating any abstract marks. After I had finished that possess I then turned everything over on to the plaster mould and joined the separate pieces of clay together knitting it to make sure there wasn’t any gaps. Using the kidney I then smoothed the mould to have a smooth looking affect.

Ceramics Slab building

This is my slab pot I created last week. Firstly, I got my clay and rolled it out. Getting inspiration from my abstract work I drew using the shapes rectangles and ovals and then mark marked into the clay. After I completed this I measured it, cut it so id have 4 new pieces. To create the vessel I had to firstly make sure I cut the edges on a 90 degrees angle so the corners fitted perfectly together when put together. I crossed hatched all sides using slip to put them together. I really liked this type of building and going to take my ideas further.
